The Urhobo Digital Editors and Publishers Alliance (UDEPA) has announced plans to hold a crucial and unifying meeting in honour of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, as we all are seeking for his re- election of his completion on his constitutionally mandated eight years in office.

The meeting, described as both strategic and symbolic, is aimed at consolidating support among Urhobo media stakeholders for the governor’s legacy and future political direction.

Speaking on behalf of the group, The publicity secretary, Comr. Otiti with other UDEPA leaders stressed the importance of standing behind a leader who has not only represented the Urhobo nation with distinction but has also delivered the dividends of democracy through the MORE Agenda. They noted that as image makers of the Urhobo nation, it is their responsibility to project and protect the interests of their own, especially one occupying the highest political office in the state.

The alliance noted that Governor Oborevwori’s leadership has been marked by inclusivity, infrastructural development, youth empowerment, and peaceful governance, which aligns with the developmental aspirations of the Urhobo people. According to UDEPA, these accomplishments must be documented, celebrated, and promoted vigorously at both state and national levels.

As the 2027 political season begins to take shape, UDEPA is calling on all Urhobo media practitioners, political stakeholders, and community leaders to close ranks and rally behind the governor in the interest of unity, continuity, and progress. The group emphasized that the coming years are crucial for deepening the impact of the MORE Agenda and ensuring sustained growth in Delta State.

UDEPA concluded by reaffirming its commitment to using all available media platforms to promote Governor Oborevwori’s achievements and galvanize wider support for his leadership vision beyond 2027. “It is time for us to unite for our own,” the statement reads. “Governor Oborevwori remains a symbol of Urhobo pride, and we must ensure his legacy endures.” Otiti.
