Otiti Condemn Abduction of Igboayaka, Ohanaeze Youth President

Comrade Akpovoke Otiti has joined the Nigerian Youths and the Igbo Nation in condemning the alleged abduction of Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, I am shocked that my friend has been kidnapped, the National President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC).

The abduction, which occurred on Saturday, February 8, 2025, is believed to be politically motivated, as the candidate from Ebonyi State, backed by Governor Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru, lost the election to Comrade Igboayaka as been speculated.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with many calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Comrade Igboayaka. The Igbo National Council (INC) has urged Governor Francis Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru to take responsibility for the safe release of the Ohanaeze Youth Council President. The international community is also being urged to take notice of this incident and to support the calls for the safe release of Comrade Igboayaka.

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has also condemned the abduction, accusing the Ebonyi Police Command of working for influential politicians. The incident highlights the need for greater accountability and transparency in the actions of government officials and security agencies, as well as the importance of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, particularly youth leaders and activist.
