Isoko North Council Boss Signs N15.26 Billion 2025 Budget into Law

The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Hon. Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has officially signed into law the 2025 Appropriation Bill amounting to N15.26 billion, along with the Isoko North rates, levies, and license fees.

While signing the bills, the council chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to development and the welfare of the people.

The budget was presented to him for assent on Thursday 6 2025, by the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. Pascal Emeluaha, accompanied by Deputy Leader Hon. Edafe Anighoro, Chief Whip, Hon. Earnest Enerieru Shingle, Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Udofa Robinson Omoefe, and Clerk of the House, Princess Oghale Oweh.

The signing ceremony, held at the Chairman’s office, was witnessed by the Secretary to the Local Government, Sir Vote Umukoro, and the Council Treasurer, HRM Queen Fejiro Elo Ogbogbo.

Speaking on the budget, Elder Ogorugba expressed optimism that the allocated funds from various revenue sources would adequately address the needs of the people.

He provided a breakdown of the budget, highlighting that N9,449,664,807.64 (61.95%) is allocated for recurrent expenditure, while N5,804,500,000.00 (38.05%) is designated for capital expenditure.

The Chairman also commended the Legislative Arm for its cooperation and diligence in reviewing and approving the budget.

“I sincerely appreciate the Legislative Arm for their collaboration and thorough scrutiny of this budget, which truly represents hope for our people,” he stated.

Elder Ogorugba further assured that his administration would prioritize the completion of ongoing projects while also initiating new, impactful projects to enhance the well-being of the people.
