Ethiope East: Oborevwori Receives Knock As Ogedegbe Increases Revenue With Over 50% For Caravan Users

Traders of Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State has lamblast Governor Sherriff Oborevwori’s administration over %50 increase in revenue for Caravan Users by the Ethiope East Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Augustine Ogedegbe.

The Ethiope East Council Boss, had increased the revenue for Caravan Users in his area in a letter issued to caravan users to comply of face the court.

The letter to the Caravan Users signed by Chairman of the Ethiope East LGA Revenue Sub-Committee, Victory Oghenero Igbasun, was made available to Watchmann online, through the Facebook handle of Emoghene A. Richard. Part of the directive on the letter states that the revenue drive for the year 2025 N80,000.

Some indigenes of the local government who took to Facebook in the issue, expressed disappointment over the increase in revenue, accusing Ogedegbe of operating a disoriented people’s policies.

An indigene, Emoghene Richard, while reacting through his Facebook page said; “It is so disappointing seeing the demand notice for caravan users in ethiope East.Honorable had failed to mirrored the agony her people are passing through at this period of economic downturn.”

“I have come to conclude that the Ethiope East local government chairman Augustine Ogedegbe is operating a disoriented people’s policies”.

He however, urged the Council Chairman to review his programme and policies, noting that the council has a direct impact on the grassroot.
