It was jubilation galore as the Amazon Parliamentarian, Rt. Hon. Mrs Erhiatake Ibori – Suenu (MHR) stormed Otorho Agbon (Isiokolo) to grace the defection ceremony of over 200 decampees led by Hon. Efe Akpobaro and Hon. Tony Sohwo to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The decampees who were majorly from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), APGA and Labour Party were warmly received by the Chairman, Ethiope East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Julius Ogboru, ably supported by the Amazon, Rt. Hon. Mrs Erhiatake Ibori – Suenu and a host of other chieftains of the party, including Chief Andrew Majemite who doubles as the National Chairman of the Ibori Suenu Grassroots Networ (ISGN)

The star decampees, Hon. Efe Akpobaro and Hon. Tony Sohwo were former Councilors at different time in Ward Eleven with positive impact in the lives of the people.

Chief Julius Ogboru in his address, described the decision of the affected party faithful as a wise decision and a welcome development, just as Hon. Joseph Oshevire, former member of the Delta State House of Assembly assured the decampees of equal rights and no discrimination as they joined the fold of the progressives.

Rt. Hon. Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori – Suenu in her speech posited that the only road to light is APC, just as she described the party as the Light that shows the way. The way for a better life.

She noted that APC as a political party had not only come to stay but to take over Delta State, adding that APC doesn’t believe in intimidation to taking over. Rather, APC converts and convince through verifiable and sustainable development and empowerment of the people.

She further urged the decampees and every other persons to go back to their unit, convince and convert more people into the fold of the All Progressives Congress so that they too can see the light.
