Dr. Ojoede Applauds President Tinubu on Commissioning of 80-bed Hospital in Ugbuwangue

Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice Ojoede, founder of the OMO Foundation and Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his role in establishing the new 80-bed maternal and child healthcare facility in the Ugbuwangue community of Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.

He referred to the facility, named the Renewed Hope Mother and Child Specialist Hospital, as a “Beacon of hope” for the local population.

The specialist hospital was built by the Federal Government in collaboration with the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the official commissioning of the hospital on Tuesday, Dr. Ojoede in a child with journalists, emphasized the positive impact the facility would have on healthcare access within the community.

Praising President Tinubu on the gigantic project, Dr. Ojoede said; “Health is wealth. We believe that this hospital will greatly change the Ugbuwangue community. While we appreciate Mr. President for this transformative gesture, I urge residents to be good custodians of the facility,” he stated.

Additionally, Dr. Ojoede acknowledged the contributions of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse the III, in advocating for and supporting the Itsekiri nation, wishing him a prosperous and enduring reign. “We are so proud of you. Long live the king. Your reign will be great,” he stated.

Dr. Ojoede however, called on the people of the Itsekiri nation to continue their support for both President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, to ensure more benefits of democracy are delivered to the community.

The newly inaugurated hospital is equipped with a range of essential services and features, including emergency, female, pediatric, neonatal, and labor wards; an intensive care unit; a modern theater; laboratory facilities; consulting rooms; staff accommodation; and an alternative power system.
