The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the second anniversary of his administration, praising his visionary leadership and impactful governance across the state.
In a statement released on Wednesday, May 29, and signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the APC State Executive Committee lauded Oborevwori’s strides under the M.O.R.E. Agenda, citing “unprecedented execution of developmental projects” that span all three senatorial districts.
“Your administration has demonstrated commitment, capacity, and clarity of purpose,” the party said, highlighting major infrastructure projects such as the completion of the Ughelli-Asaba Expressway, the construction of over 500 roads, and the ongoing development of the Effurun and Enerhen Flyovers.
The APC further applauded investments in education, healthcare, and human capital development, noting that the governor’s efforts have embodied the spirit of the M.O.R.E. Agenda—Meaningful development, Opportunities for all, Reforms in governance, and Enhanced peace and security.
“As we mark this milestone, Delta APC assures Your Excellency of our unalloyed loyalty and support,” the statement continued, declaring support for the continuation of the M.O.R.E. Agenda in shaping “a greater and transformational Delta State.”
The statement concluded with renewed hope in the governor’s leadership and a pledge of continued cooperation: “The journey so far inspires confidence in the path you have laid for us all.”
This unexpected endorsement from the main opposition party adds momentum to Governor Oborevwori’s administration as it enters its third year, signalling a potential shift in political dynamics within the oil-rich state.
