By Watchmann

In commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child, the Oritsegbegbemi Maurice OjoEde (OMO) Foundation in collaboration with the Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the welfare and empowerment of young girls through a meaningful outreach program.

The foundation organized a special campaign aimed at promoting girl-child education, health, and dignity. During the event, the OMO Foundation distributed free sanitary pads and writing materials to hundreds of female students, ensuring that no girl is left behind due to menstrual challenges or lack of learning resources.

Speaking at the celebration, the project manager of the OMO Foundation, emphasized the importance of supporting girls to reach their full potential. He noted that menstrual hygiene and access to educational materials are vital in building the confidence and future of every young girl.

The event, filled with inspiring talks and warm smiles, reinforced the foundation’s mission to empower, educate, and uplift communities in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly those focused on quality education, good health, and gender equality.

Through this initiative, the OMO Foundation continues to be a beacon of hope, touching lives and shaping a brighter future for the girl child in Delta State and beyond.
