Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the leaders and elders of Orogun, APC Ward 1, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state in an enlarged meeting at the residence of Chief (Barr.) Meshack Anuku endorsed President Ahmed Bola Tinubu on his reelection following his leadership qualities in steering Nigeria to a greater height.

The Orogun Ward 1 APC leaders and elders; Chief Meshack Anuku, the Adjerese of Orogun kingdom, Chief Pius Odioko Ovbije, Chief Edward Akarinwa, Hon. Friday Adugbo, Comrade Ebu Joe, Hon. Felix Ogbajini, Dr. Raphael Apinoko and others have called on the Ex Deputy Senate President, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege to run for governorship race come 2027.

Addressing newsmen after the meeting, the Orogun APC leaders and Elders expressed profound gratitude to Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, for his exceptional leadership qualities and his tireless efforts in the development of Delta State. They said his dedication and commitment to the growth of the state has not gone unnoticed, using this medium to call on Sen Ovie Omo-Agege to run for APC guber seat come 2027,

The leaders and elders commended President Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to spreading development across the country through his economic reforms which they described as a beacon of hope for Nigeria, therefore, endorsing President Tinubu as the Sole presidential candidate come 2027.

However, in a related development, the Orogun APC leaders and elders has also passed a vote of confidence on Mr. Obakpororo Onabedje and reaffirmed him as the APC Chairman of Ughelli North LGA, describing him as the only constitutionally recognized Chairman of the Party in the LGA.

The leaders and elders however, rejected any attempts to undermining his authority and urged members of the public to disregard rumors of his purported suspension by some individuals who recently defected to APC to cause confusion in the party.

The APC leaders and Elders also reiterdejtated their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege and Hon. Obakpororo Onabedje, and urged all members of the party and the general public to stand united behind these leaders and work towards the progress and development of Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
