*adopt Emerhor as undisputed leader

The leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Evwreni Ward 8, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, have expressed strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, by passing a vote of confidence on both leaders.

During an enlarged meeting, party members unanimously adopted President Tinubu as the sole presidential candidate for the APC in the 2027 elections and Governor Oborevwori as the sole governorship candidate for the same election.

The communique, which stated these resolutions, was signed by notable party members including Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, who was also recognized as the undisputed leader of the Evwreni Ward 8 APC. The communique emphasized unity among old and new members, reinforcing their commitment to work harmoniously under Emerhor’s leadership.

The Communique reads in parts; “That a vote of confidence was unanimously passed on His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for his excellent leadership. That His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR is unanimously adopted as the Presidential candidate for APC Evwreni Ward 8 in the 2027 Presidential Election”.

“That a vote of confidence was passed on His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Orowhedor Oborevwori, the performing Governor of Delta State of Nigeria for his outstanding leadership in the state. That His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Francis Orowhedor Oborevwori is unanimously adopted as the Governorship candidate for APC Evwreni Ward 8 in the 2027 Governorship election”.

“That Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, OON, the Founding Leader of APC in Delta State, was formally adopted as the undisputed leader for APC Evwreni Ward 8. And that all the members of APC Evwreni Ward 8, both old and new members, shall work in unity and harmony and submit themselves to the overall leadership of Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, OON”.

“Evwreni APC Ward 8, being part of Ughelli LGA APC, wholeheartedly adopt all the resolutions of Ughelli LGA APC meeting held on June 6, 2025 also at the Evwreni residence of the Founding Leader of APC in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, OON”. The communique noted.

Furthermore, the meeting acknowledged the Ughelli North local government Chairman, Chief Jaro Omovudu Egbo, expressing solidarity with his administration, and noted the integration of former members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who have recently joined the APC.

Others who signed the communique include; Hon. Samuel Mariere, Chief, Engr Samuel Adjogbe, Prince Uba Donatus Mrowhobor, Dr Rufus E. Ebegba, Chief Mrs Meg Atano, Mr Solomon Osioro and Mr Felix Idjereki respectively.

While Chief Eric O. E, Osharode, ESQ, Chairman and Comr. Samuel E. O. Dietake, JP, Member prepared the communique under the Drafting Committee ommittee.

This collective effort reflects the party’s aim to strengthen its position in the forthcoming elections and maintain a united front in their governance strategies.
