As members of the National Assembly celebrate two years in office, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, the representative for Ethiope Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on NDDC, has shared an overview of her achievements and expressions of gratitude toward her constituents.
In a statement to the press, Ibori-Suenu expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the constituents for their ongoing support and the trust they have placed in her. She emphasized the significance of her role, stating, “It is a profound honour to serve as your representative and I remain humbled by the trust you have placed in me.”
She extended her thanks to God Almighty for guidance and several key figures, including; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his leadership, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, GCON, Speaker of the 10th Assembly, for his support, Her family, especially Chief James Onanefe Ibori ( her father and mentor), and Prince Shakiru Abioye Suenu (her husband).

In the past two years, Ibori-Suenu has focused on development and enhancing federal presence in her constituency. Among her notable achievements are:
Legislative Actions
-Sponsored Bills include; The Customs Training College, Oghara (Establishment) Bill, 2025 and The Nigerian Paramedic College, Isiokolo (Establishment) Bill, 2025. Both bills have successfully passed their first readings, signifying steps toward educational and infrastructural enhancement in the region.
Empowerment Initiatives
Scholarship Opportunities: Facilitated foreign scholarship opportunities for constituents. Secured federal civil service and political appointments for constituents.
Women’s, Youth, and Elderly Programs: Empowerment through targeted initiatives and cash transfers across wards.
Infrastructure Projects:
Supported the construction of key infrastructure such as the 4km Western Delta Bypass in Oghara and initiated proposals for renewable energy solutions, including a mini solar grid for remote villages.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SME):
Provided support for 200 small businesses, as well as cash empowerment for 200 widows in the constituency.
Appointments and Community Support
Appointed aides across Ethiope Federal Constituency, ensuring salaries are paid promptly. This includes roles such as:

– **Executive Assistants**: 9
– **Special Assistants**: 206
– **Senior Special Assistant**: 1
Additionally, she has offered monthly stipends to various community groups, benefiting 343 individuals, including members of NULGE, CAN, PFN, and the Muslim Community.
Addressing Security Concerns
Ibori-Suenu acknowledged significant security challenges within her constituency, particularly issues surrounding kidnappings and the herder-farmer conflict. She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting affected families and advocating for sustainable solutions.
